The night of Friday the 15th, Sheldon and I came home from eating a great dinner with my family. We ate at the Spaghetti Factory and I had Vegetariano Lasagna, but unfortunately I don't think I will be eating that dish again as that night it all came back up. I just thought I had the flu since I couldn't keep anything down all night and the next morning. I was having contractions but they weren't very regular and they weren't what I imagined what contractions would be like. Saturday Sheldon and I just hung out and watched movies trying to distract me from contractions. My contractions started coming about 3-5 minutes apart at 5 or 6 pm and Sheldon tried to convince me to go to the hospital but for some reason I still didn't think I was in labor and wouldn't go. Finally when my contractions were 2 minutes apart at about 6:30 pm Sheldon forced me to go to the hospital. I was so afraid I was going to be only be dilated to a 2, but they checked me and I was dilated to an 8! Shortly after that the baby's heart rate started to dip so they broke my water and I started pushing. It was so intense and everyone was screaming at me to push to get him out faster, and luckily he did come out in about 15 minutes and they started working on him because he wasn't breathing very well. It all happened so fast and I barely even got to hold Tucker, that I didn't even really feel like he was my child at first (don't worry though, now I definitely feel like he's mine). Here is a picture right after he was born hooked up to oxygen and other stuff I don't know what because Sheldon was there and I
wasn't.

Little Tucker had what's called a pnuemothorax, basically an air bubble outside of his lungs that was making it hard for him to breathe. So they poked him with a needle and sucked the air out. That caused him to have a rough start, but after a few days he was breathing normally and I was able to feed him just fine. Here are a few pictures at the hospital:

We are such proud parents!

Poor little guy all hooked up to monitors and oxygen.

Tucker came home from the hospital on Tuesday and has been doing great ever since. We took him to his first doctor's appointment on Friday and he had gained 5 ounces, so he is definitely not having any problems eating! He now weighs 7 pounds 2 ounces and I'm sure he is steadily gaining with the amount he eats! Here is Tucker on his car ride home from the hospital, he was so good and cry once.

Here is Tucker one week old! He is so cute and we just can't get enough of him!
