MIsc. Cali Pictures

We were in California for about 2 weeks, so most of our time was actually not at the theme parks. These are some of my favorite pictures of just hanging out with my family.

Tucker is not very helpful at puzzles, he still like to knock down and take things apart.

There are batting cages really close to my parents house. They always make me feel very weak because I pick almost the slowest speed and it still hurts my hands/arms when I hit the ball. Sheldon is pretty good at it though.

Universal Studios

My parents watched the Tucker and Halle so Sheldon and I could go to Universal Studios without kids! My brother came along with us and we had a lot of fun, even if Universal Studios is kind of a disappointing theme park. Most of the rides are just 3D and seem kind of old. We still had fun and it was great to have a day without kids.

On the Jurassic Park ride we got very wet. I was not happy since it was a cool day

We saw an Animal Show about using animals in movies. It was pretty funny.

We watched the Terminator 2 show with Ah-nold Schwarzeneggar. I felt like it was a time travel back to the 80's :)

It was a great day, but Universal Studios doesn't even come close to comparing with Disneyland. The Return of the Mummy was our favorite ride and it was so uncrowded at the park we got to go on it 3 times.

Sheldon's California Trip

The very last weekend in August Sheldon went down to surprise his brother on his 30Th birthday. All of us would have liked to have gone, but now that Tucker is 2 we have to buy him a plane ticket, which is a little too expensive and we just didn't have the time to drive. So just Sheldon got to go down, but luckily my Mom and my sister were in town visiting me so I wasn't alone and going crazy. I made Sheldon promise to take lots of pictures and he definitely came through on his promise. I think he took so many cute pictures. This is probably the most pictures I have ever posted that don't have Tucker in them, but they have Tucker's cousins Andrew and Sammy in them to make up for it. Luckily I didn't miss out on seeing everybody since they were able to come up to Utah last week.

I think this was the first night Sheldon when they surprised his brother. Sammy is definitely my favorite niece ( I can say that because she is my only niece) I love her quirky personality.

Andrew is turning 3 tomorrow! Happy Birthday Andrew!

They went to the beach one day, I can't give many details since I wasn't actually there. I think the water was too cold for them to go swimming in.

Sheldon told me this was an awesome park they went to and it looks pretty cool from the pictures.

The San Diego Zoo!

Brothers! Sheldon looks a lot taller than Kalon in this picture, but I think he must be wearing tall shoes or something. In real life I don't think he is that much taller than his brother.

Happy birthday Kalon! I wish Tucker and I could have celebrated with you!

He he, this is my favorite picture because of Andrew. It's not really that funny but it makes me laugh.

The week of giving thanks

Sheldon and I were were able to go to California for Thanksgiving, and it gets even better than that, we were able to FLY! Driving almost 12 hours is so killer with Tucker, so Sheldon and I were able to find some not too expensive tickes and fly to Cali. I think we were both able to enjoy the trip so much more because we weren't dead after driving forever in the car. California was so much fun as always, and definitely too short. We were there for about a week and spent most of our time visiting with different relatives. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of everyone we visited, so even if you are not on this blog it doesn't mean we don't love you! It just means I'm not a very good photographer and I was too busy having fun to take pictures all the time.
We were able to take Tucker to Redondo Beach one day and it was perfect weather. I think it was almost in the 80s at the beach, which is totally warm for the beach, especially in November.

Tucker was making some pretty funny faces while we were walking around the pier.

For some reason Tucker did not just want to sit down and play in the sand. In the past he has loved playing in the sand, but I guess now that he is walking he just really loves to walk around. Tucker was also not a big fan of walking in the sand, it made things more difficult and this kid just likes to go places quickly.

Unfortunately the water was cold and Tucker didn't want to play in the water either. I don't really blame him, I ran away from the water like a wimp. It was kind of difficult trying to take pictures and run away from the waves at the same time.

Tucker finally decided he was done with playing in the sand and waves and headed for the cement.

But he didn't want to leave without us, he yelled at us until we came :)

We had fun staying at my parent's house and of course Tucker was always the center of attention, and he loved every minute of it.

Tucker totally zones out in front of the TV, he will just sit there with his mouth hanging open and drool will usually start falling. I think it's so funny :)

We were able to go visit Sheldon's brother in San Diego. We had lots of fun playing at the park with them, and Sheldon probably had just as much if not more fun than the kids!

By the way, does anyone else hate uploading pictures on blogger? It takes me forever because I can only upload a few at a time. Am I just technologically inept or do other people have this problem? If it's not just me than Blogger should definitely be able to come up with a better method. With the amount of people that use Blogger I think they can afford to make a few upgrades.
