I Love August!

I think August is one of my favorite months, it seems like we always do the most fun things in August. This August did not disappoint! At the beginning of August Sheldon's family went camping for a couple of days. Due to sick kids we did not spend the night, but we enjoyed spending time with them up at their campsite. Tucker had a lot of fun running around with Claytin and getting very dirty.

Sheldon carving our marshmallow roasting sticks. Marshmallows taste better roasted on a stick.

Tucker was a pro at roasting marshmallows and a big fan of eating them.

We visited Bridal Veil Falls with the Mills fam and Tucker of course loved throwing lots of rocks. His favorite are now throwing really big rocks. Big rocks = bigger splashes.

We took advantage of a free swim day at the Lindon Pool. It was super crowded, but Tucker got the hang of everything pretty quick and was having a blast going down the slide over and over again. It was the first time we had taken Halle to a pool and she was not a fan. Too noisy and the water was not warm enough for her.

This is my favorite picture of Tucker doing a little dance at the top of the slide.

We also went to a cool car show in Lindon. Tucker loved all the cars and would ask to get his picture taken next to the cars. I love when we take pictures of him he never looks at the camera, he looks anywhere but the camera.

We spent a couple Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point enjoying their two buck Tuesdays. Tucker loved the dinosaur museum but was a little bit scared of the huge shark. He would only go close with Sheldon holding him.

Farm country was lots of fun until one of the horses tried to eat Tucker's shirt, after that he wasn't so sure about feeding and petting the animals.

We had the best berries grow in our backyard this summer. Blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries! The blackberries grew especially well, and I have never been a fan of blackberries, but when you pick them at the right time they are actually super sweet.

I'm already missing our summer days, hopefully we don't have an early winter!

Olsen Family Reunion 2011

The last weekend in July we went to spend the weekend at a condo in Brian Head with my family. It was such a fun and relaxing get-a-way; we had a hot tub on our deck, does it get any better than that? We had lots of amazing food: fried bananas, grilled corn, stuffed peppers, homemade super chocolate gelato, homemade dole whip ice cream, lasagna, grilled pineapple, and so much more. I think we all came back super stuffed and ready to eat very healthy.

A view of our condo. It was such a beautiful area, I loved that we could just walk out our front door and go on little hikes with Tucker.

Tucker was spoiled as always by having lots of people around to read books with him and play with him.

The first day we were we went on a little hike to some waterfalls, I can't remember the name. Our hike was cut a little short by some rain, but we made it back to the car just in time before it really started pouring.

When we weren't hiking we spent the rest of the time just hanging out in the nice condo. The couch was huge and comfy and Tucker loved making forts.

A lot of time was spent in the hot tub. Some day I most definitely want a hot tub on my deck with an awesome view.

The next day we did a hike called twisted pines or something like that. It was pretty late when we decided to go on the hike, so Tucker was too tired to hike and wanted to ride in our backpack and we just carried Halle.

Tucker always loves to just sit and look at pictures with people.

Sheldon and my brother Terrell had the chance to rent bikes and spend the day riding the lifts and biking down the trails. Sheldon had a lot of fun, except for his crash where he landed in a bush and got little thorns all in his arm.

It was such a fun trip I think we all thought about buying a condo! Thanks to my parents for planning it, thanks to my brother and his awesome nice pictures he took with his new camera and also other cute pictures from my dad's camera. I'm glad I'm only about 2 months behind posting about it :)
