June 30-July 2 we were able to go to our neighbor's cabin just like last year. This time we were lucky to have nobody sick and it was a very fun trip. The first night we had 5 couples, 5 babies under age 1, and 3 toddlers. It was a little crazy at times with that many people and kids in one cabin, but overall it went well.
The first day we went on a little hike to Christmas Meadows. It was pretty muddy, but so beautiful.
Yes, I know, Tucker is wearing socks and sandals. He doesn't have any good tennis shoes and it was a little cold for just sandals. I think he's cute enough that he can pull of socks and sandals.

Halle and Graham are just 6 weeks apart. They were very content to just sit there and look at each other.

The second day we went to Piedmont Ghost Town. I thought it was really interesting to learn about the ghost town, but not so exciting for the kids. The best part for Tucker was seeing the BIG cow poops. I told him not to step in the cow poop, and then of course he stepped in right away. Luckily it was a pretty dry cowpie. Avery wasn't so lucky and stepped in a huge wet cow plop, I think they ended up throwing away her shoes they were so dirty.
One of the coolest things about the ghost town were these huge kilns that they used to use to make charcoal. They would fill the kilns with wood and burn them slowly for several days and that was how they made charcoal. Seems funny that you burn wood to get something that will burn hotter and longer.
Left to Right: Graham, Hazel, and Halle. Halle is the oldest, then Graham and then Hazel. We did have one more baby the same age as Graham there but he had already left.
On our way back home we stopped at Provo River Falls. They were amazing since there is so much runoff this year.
Such a fun trip. Here's hoping we'll be able to go again next year!
