Thanksgiving

I can't believe it's been almost a month since I lasted posted. But life has definitely been busy with lots of holiday parties. I also started babysitting a 10-month old boy two days a week. Even though it is only two days a week, I feel a lot busier.

This is Tucker and Lincoln and they actually get a long really well and have a lot of fun together. I think it has been good preparation for Tucker and me for when we have another little baby around the house.

We spent Thanksgiving with Sheldon's parents . We ate lots of great food, did some black Friday shopping, and checked out the Hill Air Force Base. It was really cool and I hope to be able to go back again sometime. If you are ever in the area it is definitely worth checking out.

They had a really fun kids/hands-on area. You could climb inside the cockpit of a plane and try out all these science experiments.

Taking a little break to watch a movie.

It was a great Thanksgiving, now we are just counting down until Christmas!

Misc. Updates

Pictures of Tucker and Avery having fun one morning in Tucker's car seat. Not too much happening in the Mills family right now, just counting down until the holidays and our baby girl arrives. We still don't have any good names picked out so suggestions are definitely welcome.

Tucker Updates:
He has started saying prayers on his own, which is the cutest and my favorite thing he does right now. He is also going through a phase where he prefers me sometimes slightly over Sheldon, which is kind of nice since he has always been such a Daddy's boy :)

Elaine Updates:
I got a coupon in the mail from our local grocery store for a free turkey up to 24 lbs!! That's right totally free! Sheldon and I bought it last weekend and it would have cost $20. It's huge, I'm hoping it will fit in my roaster I have. You can tell my life isn't very exciting when I update about good deals I get.

Sheldon Updates:
Still playing soccer lots, working hard at work setting up an American Marketing Association chapter in Utah. I'm very excited that Wednesday has now become his night to cook dinner, so guess who's not cooking dinner tonight!

And just to round out this post, a cute video of Tucker jumping, one of his favorite things to do. I love how he tries to copy Sheldon's somersault, he still needs a little practice.

Olsen Family Visit

My Mom came up to visit us the week after Halloween since my Dad was on a business trip. We had lots of fun shopping and going to story time together. I didn't get many pictures, but I did take some pictures when we went to a park on Saturday. It was great that my Dad was also able to come up after his business trip.

We were going to play Bocce ball at the park but we realized the little white ball was missing. So instead Sheldon came up with the fun game of trying to walk on all the balls. Sheldon was really good at it, I was definitely not. I blame it on my big belly throws my balance off.

We had lots of fun enjoying the warm weather. Sadly, I think it may have been the last of the warm weather, it has been snowing this week.

Mustache!

Somehow my sister and my cousin always come up with funniest things to teach Tucker. The latest trick is having him put his finger under his nose and say "Mustache!" I think it's one of my favorites so far. Here are a few pictures and the video at the end.

Halloween 2010

We had such a fun Halloween this after and post-Halloween since my Mom came to visit us all last week. Sheldon and Tucker made for some very scary pirates. I kind of pooped out in the costume department, I did not feel like dressing up as a pregnant pirate or as a pregnant anything else. Sheldon's work does a great trick-or-treat and it was so fun this year for Tucker. He loved finding the bowls of candy that people had left by their offices and putting it in his little bag.

Whenever Tucker looks at these pictures of himself, he always says messy face.

Avery was a cute little cupcake this year, although you can't really tell from this picture. She was definitely scared of Sheldon's pirate costume.

On Saturday night we just stayed home and handed out candy since we had gone to a ward trunk or treat the night before. We were really excited to hand out candy this year since we got big candy bars to hand out! We don't get very many trick or treaters since we are a basement apartment, we have to bribe them to stop at our house. Tucker loved handing out the candy though and he would say "see ya" and then close the door when they left. It was definitely the most fun I've hand handing out candy. We also let Tucker try some root beer and of course he was a big fan.

This is a video of Tucker eating some candy on Halloween. I just love the way he says M&M's. Please ignore my big belly in the background :)

Pumpkin Carving!

On Monday we carved pumpkins. Sheldon and Tucker are dressing up as matching pirates, and we are decorating our car for the ward trunk or treat pirate-like, so the pumpkins kept up the pirate theme.

Sheldon's pumpkin:

My pumpkin: (I accidentally knocked his mouth out while I was carving so we had to perform oral surgery to reattach it.)

Tucker's pumpkin: (For some reason he only wanted to put stickers around the stem of the pumpkin.)

We had Avery and Tucker decorate pumpkins together, Sheldon is sewing Tucker's costume in the background. I have such a crafty husband :) he has done everything for his and Tucker's costumes. The costumes are going to be awesome, I can't wait to get some pictures. Tucker can even say "Arrr, Matey"

26 Months

One morning Tucker was working so hard on lining all his cars up. It was the cutest thing so of course I took a picture. As soon as I take pictures he always wants to look at the picture on the camera, this time he actually went back and posed for me and smiled! That never happens, Tucker never poses and smiles for pictures. It was a momentous occasion.

Yesterday Tucker went to the Doctor for his 2 year appointment, yes I'm a little behind on scheduling it. Here are his stats at about 26 months:

Head: 19.5 in 67%
Weight: 26.08 lb 20%
Height: 34.5 in 36.8%

I was so surprised when they told me this kid only weighs 26 lbs. He totally feels like 35 lbs, I guess that means it's time to lift some more weights.
