Disneyland!

We took a day off after going to California Adventure to give the kids a day to recoup. We stayed at my Grandma's house since she lives about 15 min. away from Disneyland. We went to a fun park nearby, but unfortunately we didn't get to stay too long since Tucker had a poopy diaper and I didn't bring anything to change him with.

On the tram headed to Disneyland, so excited for our first day at Disneyland. Because, let's be honest, Disneyland is definitely cooler than California Adventure.

We decided to do a Character Breakfast so that Tucker could meet characters without having to wait in any lines and I am so glad we did. It was so much fun and Tucker absolutely loved all the characters. He would just jump up and down next to our table waiting for them to come to us.

The food was actually pretty good and it was buffet style so you could eat as much as you wanted. The mickey waffles were cute and we may have snuck out some chocolate milk to drink later in the day.

Tucker loved to give the characters big hugs, I think he could have hugged them forever, maybe because they are so soft and furry?

The only character Tucker was a little unsure about was Captain Hook, he did not give him a big hug. We did get him to shake his hook though.

Winnie the Pooh ride! Another favorite of Tucker's, also nice because it had a very short line.

The train around Disneyland. I really felt like just taking a break and riding this around the park a few times.

Tucker loved all the cars in Toontown. He really had to drive every single one of them. One time I tried to get him out so someone else could have a turn and Tucker started throwing a tantrum. These other parents started getting mad at me saying it was his day at Disneyland, let him stay in the car. I felt like a really bad parent, oy. Disneyland is sometimes not the Happiest place on earth when you have kids throwing tantrums.

Jungle Cruise! It was a pretty fun day at Disneyland, but Tucker was pretty tired so we didn't stay too late. Tucker loved pirates, he got a little scared on the Haunted Mansion ride since we were next to a big group of screaming teenagers. One of my favorite parts, the Dole Whip from the Tiki Room!

California Adventure

Our first theme park we went to with Tucker was California Adventure. We were so excited, but a little nervous to see how the kids would do at the park. It was definitely more tiring with kids and we went on less rides, but Tucker did pretty good and had lots of fun. Tucker still says to me every day, "Tomorrow we go to Disneyland?"

The first ride we went on was the Toy Story ride Midway Mania, since the line tends to get longer. It was a good thing we went on it when we did, because I don't think Tucker can handle waiting in line for longer than 20 minutes. It was such a fun ride, we all loved it!

Next up was the swinging Carousel, I think it was a favorite of Tucker. He just laughed and laughed the whole time. Tucker has no fear, while I admit it, I was holding on to the sides a little bit.

My brother was nice enough to hold Halle while we went on the Ferris Wheel. I didn't know how Halle would handle the swinging, although she probably would have been like Tucker and loved it.

We loved Aladdin and Halle slept through most of it.

Tucker finally fell asleep in the stroller after we bought him a Lightning McQueen car that he could play with while he laid in the stroller. Poor lightning was always getting lost on our vacation and then he was permanently lost on our trip to San Diego.

The Carousel! Another favorite ride because it has no line and you can go on it over and over again. I think he went on it about 5 times.

Sheldon was brave enough to take a picture on top of the Screamin' California. I would be too afraid of dropping the camera.

Waiting for World of Color. It was a little bit chilly, but definitely worth the wait. I loved the whole show! Especially the parts with flames since they warm you up.

Halle Giggles!

There are many more posts on our Disneyland trip coming up, but these videos of Halle giggling are so cute that I have to share them now. Halle is just growing up so fast, she is grabbing for toys. Hard to believe she is almost 4 months!

Universal Studios

My parents watched the Tucker and Halle so Sheldon and I could go to Universal Studios without kids! My brother came along with us and we had a lot of fun, even if Universal Studios is kind of a disappointing theme park. Most of the rides are just 3D and seem kind of old. We still had fun and it was great to have a day without kids.

On the Jurassic Park ride we got very wet. I was not happy since it was a cool day

We saw an Animal Show about using animals in movies. It was pretty funny.

We watched the Terminator 2 show with Ah-nold Schwarzeneggar. I felt like it was a time travel back to the 80's :)

It was a great day, but Universal Studios doesn't even come close to comparing with Disneyland. The Return of the Mummy was our favorite ride and it was so uncrowded at the park we got to go on it 3 times.

Laughs and Giggles

We got back this week from the most amazing trip to California. We went to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Seaworld, and the San Diego Zoo! So much fun, I just need to go through the couple hundred pictures I took so I can post some of them. I always hate coming home from vacation, it always takes me a few days to adjust back to the real world. But now I am adjusted and over my gloominess. Now if only Utah would cooperate and give us some sunny weather.

Halle just started giggling for real last night. Of course, Tucker was the one to make her laugh. We were just sitting on the couch watching Tucker play around and Halle busted up laughing out of nowhere. We got a pretty cute video that I will have to post soon.

My sister sent me this funny article this week about Stay-at-home vs. Working parents and I totally loved it. My favorite is number 1:

1. When you walked into work this morning and pleasantly greeted your co-worker Jim, was his first reaction to scream "NO! WANT JASON!" followed by an office supply being thrown at you.

Every morning if I try to get Tucker up from his crib he will scream, "NO! Want Daddy!" At least he doesn't throw things at me :)

Halle's Blessing

We were able to bless Halle on Easter Sunday. It was great to have so much family there on Easter Sunday. Halle was such a little sweetheart, hardly cried the whole morning and very awake for pictures. She was not a fan of her dress, note to self, next time have a white onesie to wear underneath. The fabric wasn't the softest. Many thanks to my Uncle who took such great pictures and unfortunately I didn't even think to get a picture of him! I'm so grateful for such great family and especially for a husband who is able to give our children priesthood blessings.

I love that Halle has kind of elfish ears :)

My Grandma always makes the most beautiful cross-stitches for the great-grandchildren. So cute!
