I know I am so behind on doing a birthday post for our sweet Halle Jo, but I still wanted to give her a post. I still can't believe she is one, this year has really flown by. Halle has brought so much joy into her family. She is a good little buddy for Tucker and always has a smile ready for us when we need one. Halle has really started walking everywhere this week and loves, loves climbing on everything. Stairs are her favorite and she loves going up and down. She definitely has begun to get some attitude, probably gets it from her dad ;) Sometimes if she doesn't get what she wants she will throw herself down and roll around on the ground, it's kind of cute. She loves reading books and has a book with a dog in it that is her favorite. She tries to make a woof woof sound, but it is more of a grunt. Be prepared for picture overload of Halle! I think it is always fun to look back and see how much your kids change in one year.

Happy Valentine's Day!
I wish we could mail everyone a personal valentine, but consider this your valentine with lots of love from Sheldon, Elaine, Tucker, and Halle!
P.S. Don't you love Halle's face? Whenever anyone says cheese to take a picture she squints her eyes. Now it is really hard to get a good picture of her smiling since Tucker loves to say cheese for pictures.
Here are some outtakes for your viewing pleasure

January 2012
It's hard to believe January has come and gone and my little girl is now one! An awesome birthday post for her will come later. Last month we finally gave Hal her first haircut! I was sad to see her cute little curly-cues cut off, but her hair looks a lot thicker now that it is trimmed up and she looks older. She watched a little video while I cut, and man it was difficult, she is so much more wiggly than Tucker.
The finished haircut!
Tucker's cousin turned 3 and had a fun dog party. All the kids got to wear dog ears, but Tucker wouldn't wear his. Halle definitely made a cute puppy.
One of the coolest things we did in January was go to a Model Train show at Thanksgiving Point. The coolest train by far was this amazing lego train. Confession: I think legos are pretty cool and we got out our old legos at my parents house at Christmas time and played with them! Kind of nerdy, I know! Anyway, I wish I had tons of legos and could just build an awesome model train.
One of my favorite parts of the lego scene, the dinosaur breaking out of museum.
This picture doesn't do justice to how big the lego train was, but it was pretty huge.
Halle of course is happiest just walking around. She is pretty close to walking on her own. She will take a few steps, but it's still faster for her to crawl.

Best Christmas Present
I know you are thinking, "Where were those pictures taken, because Elaine does not have piano." Surprise! As a Christmas present to our family, Sheldon surprised us by buying a piano. He was very sneaky about it and didn't say anything about it until we were at a Christmas party with friends and he asked some of the guys if they could help him get a piano into our house. It was a little difficult to get it into our little basement apartment. We actually had to take off part of the door frame to our living room. But we got it in, and we love it! Tucker loves playing the low keys and says he is, 'playing scary.' He will also sometimes sing along if we play some primary songs he knows. We just had it tuned this week and it sounds pretty amazing after a good tuning. It was so out of tune it took the tuner guy about 2 hours to tune it. Yay for having a piano in our home!
