the rejects

We have been trying to get some good family pictures and cute pictures of Tucker to use on our Christmas cards. We have taken so many pictures of Tucker in order to get some good ones. These are the pictures that failed to make the cut, but are still cute or funny.

It was a little bit cold outside, so he was understandably grumpy.

I love his face in these pictures, I was trying to cheer him up with the Santa Hat, but it was obviously failing

fall days

We have had some really nice fall weather here and I am so sad the weather is getting colder. Tucker loves being able to go outside play and it's been so nice not to have to worry about getting him all bundled up. I'm crossing my fingers for a very warm winter!

is it too late for halloween?

Halloween was so much fun this year! I think it was more fun this year, because we loved dressing Tucker up and trying to get him to say 'Trick or Treat.' Everyone once in a while he would say something that sounded like it, something to the effect of "ickoreech." Sometimes all I could hear was the ick and then it was too much jibber jabber. Sheldon and I had fun carving pumpkins this year, Sheldon's is the pumpkin on the left with the crazy face. He tried to make it have a big flame in the background by putting as many candles as he could fit in the pumpkin, but he couldn't fit enough in to make it really work. I of course tried to carve a pumpkin that was too hard for me and it didn't turn out very well. Note to self: next year carve something really easy! It's supposed to be a skeleton and a bat, but I almost chopped of his arm and he wasn't stable enough so he kind of fell over. Next year I will definitely choose something that is a no fail carve.

We let Tucker decorate a pumpkin with stickers and he loved it. He was so fast at figuring how to stick the stickers on, unfortunately he also liked taking the stickers off, so we had a hard time making him leave the stickers on.

Sheldon's work hosted a big Trick or Treat around the office. There was a lot of people there and Tucker wasn't really into the whole getting candy thing. He just wanted to hold his two pieces of candy and didn't want to let go. Needless to say, they were pretty melty and gooey by the end of it. He did have fun seeing his friend Avery there and walking around Sheldon's office area which was less crowded.

Taking a break from all the action.
Someone at Sheldon's work had a bunch of tickets to the Real Salt Lake Soccer team, so on Halloween Sheldon and I got to go for free! It was a fun game and the weather was perfect. It wasn't quite as exciting as when we got to see Beckham play, but it was still a good game.

Who am I?

In general, I think Tucker looks mostly like Sheldon. Every now and then, I think I see features that are mine though. What do you guys think, does he look more like Sheldon or me?

Sheldon
I don't have a lot of great baby pictures of Sheldon, sorry. FYI, his arm is not really broken in this picture, it is just a blanket. He was probably trying to get people to take pity on him and give him licorice ;) Licorice is what he is eating in the second picture and it is still one of his favorite things to eat.

P.S. This is my 101st post, how exciting! I feel like a real blogger now that I made it over the 100 mark! There must be some sort of group I can join on facebook, or a cool award I should receive.

Tucker's busy week, Part 2

Tucker has had another busy week, this kid just never stops! Here's a look at what Tucker has been up to this past week.
Playing with friends, their favorite game is trying to take whatever toy the other person is playing with and chasing after each other.

Brushing his teeth, one toothbrush for him to use and one for me to be in charge of.

Playing with his toys and making lots of messes!

Helping Mom empty the dishwasher.

Helping empty the clothes from the dryer (even if I'm trying to put the clothes in the dryer)

Folding the clothes (or mainly eating them and seeing how they taste)

Speed-reading his books, he turns the pages so fast now that I don't get a chance to read to him.

Playing at the park and running away from his mom as fast as he can!

Halloween Fun

On Saturday we went to a little Halloween Party at my friend's work, The Little Gym. They had lots of fun games, which Tucker was a little too young for, and lots of cute kids all dressed up. At first Tucker just stood there and watched what was going on, but it wasn't long before he was going up to kids and trying to play with their toys and costumes. He did pretty good at leaving the hood on of his dog costume, we thought a dog was a fitting costume for him since that was his first animal sound he made.

My cute friend Miriam with Tucker. Although you can't see her costume very well, she is dressed up as a Bun in the oven, since she has her own little 'bun in the oven.'
Tucker had fun trying out the gymnastics equipment at The Little Gym, although he wasn't a big fan of the beam. He has definitely not learned how to put one foot in front of the other. He still has a kind of waddle/cowboy walk.

Roomies!

A week ago one of my friend's from freshman year got married and I was able to get together with so many of the girls that I lived with at DT. I love that 6 years later we are still good friends and it doesn't seem like that much time has passed when we get together! I love weddings and Elena's reception was so much fun to go to, I was a huge fan of her dress! Weddings always make me want to get married again and I think someday I am going to have to renew my vows or do something like that, just so I can have an excuse to wear my wedding dress again. I only got to wear it once and that definitely wasn't enough for how much I spent on my dress :)
