First Haircut!!!

I consider it a success since both his ears are still attached and no one was harmed in the process of cutting his hair. It is so much harder than I thought it would be to cut his hair when you can't predict when he is going to turn his head. We cut his hair outside since he is content to just sit still outside and he loves to watch all the neighborhood kids play. Although it was not fun when the kids got their bikes and skateboards out and went zooming by, that meant extra head-turning! His haircut turned out a little shorter than I wanted it, since I forgot how much hair shrinks up when it dries, but I think it will grow out pretty fast. I now understand why parents put off cutting their babies hair for so long, they just look so much more grown up after it's cut. I was a little bit sad to say goodbye to the crazy curly hair, but it was definitely time. Every time I looked at his hair recently I just started to see his 'wings' of hair.

Mills Reunion

On July 11th, we were able to go to a little reunion for the Mills Family. It was at a very nice park, so Tucker had tons of fun playing on the playground and swinging in the swings. One of Tucker's favorite things is climbing up steps since we don't have any in our house.

4th of July Reunion

The 4th of July weekend we went down to Duck Creek by Cedar City for the Weather's Family Reunion, my Mom's side of the family. We've been to Duck Creek a few times before and we love it. It's always perfect weather and so beautiful up in the mountains. Tucker had a blast spending lots of time with my parents and everyone else that was there. I'm so grateful that my Grandma planned such a great reunion. It had been so long since I had seen some of my cousins.

We had so much fun taking the ATVs out. Last time I came to Duck Creek I was pregnant and couldn't ride the ATVs so I was very excited to take them out.
We rode the ATV's out to a place called Mammoth cave and had fun climbing around in the cave.
It was so dusty, I had dirt everywhere. It even went all the way through my clothes and my bra was dirty, sorry if that is too much information. I just wanted to demonstrate how very dirty we were.

I love this close up of Sheldon, hehe. This is how he would look if he had a unibrow and a goatee and mustache.

So many fun times with my family, I was so glad they could come. We missed you Daniel!

And of course, Tucker spent lots of time in his favorite spot up on everybody's shoulders. I think this kid might be getting a little spoiled :)

Happy Anniversary!

Sheldon and I have been married for 3 years, time flies when you're having fun! Sheldon's parents were kind enough to watch Tucker for a night, so we were able to stay at a cute little Bed and Breakfast in Sandy. We were able to get 20% off the cost of our stay, so I thought it ended up being a great deal, and much nicer than some of the other places we have stayed in Salt Lake. They had some gorgeous gardens in the backyard and we took this picture by setting our camera on a rock.

We had fun visiting This is the Place Monument, I think this is a picture of Brigham Young's Wives. I'm smiling so big in this picture because I'm thinking how great it is to be Sheldon's one and only wife. I'm a competitive person, but I don't think I could handle competing with other wives.

We also had fun feeding the animals, although I was honestly a little scared to feed the horses. They have pretty big mouths and it wouldn't take much to break one of my little fingers.


It was a great day and we ended up hanging out at the park until we were hungry for dinner. It seems like so much has happened in the 3 years we have been married. I can't even imagine what the next couple of years are going to be like, but I'm sure it will only get better!

beach babe

We were able to go to the beach while were in California. It was Tucker's first time and he absolutely loved it. He had never played in the sand before and he loved it so much it made me want to get him a sand box. Surprisingly, he didn't eat the sand at all, but just had fun picking it up and letting it fall out of his hands.

"and..[sniffle]...and saving China." -Mushu from Mulan, definitely one of my favorite movies. Anyway, my little sis is all grown up and headed to college! Tucker and I were able to go down to California and be there for her graduation, which was so much fun. It was such a hot day at graduation, but luckily they were pretty fast at reading the names. My favorite part was when Rachel was singing with the Choir and her hat blew off as you can see in this picture. I don't know why I thought it was so funny, maybe because not a lot of funny things happen at graduation and so you have to take what you can get.

Tucker had it made at graduation, everyone switched off fanning him and making sure he was in the shade. Next time, I am definitely going to take on of those handheld electric fans.

Congratulations, Rachel! We will be so excited to have you up here in the fall so we can mooch off your dining plus ;)

I've missed you blog!

Due to many vacations and our computer having various problems resulting from old age, I haven't posted in a long time, obviously. I am excited to update everyone on the busy summer we have had so far! Look for posts in the next couple of days, maybe one of those posts will be about Tucker finally walking! Not really, I just thought I would build some suspense to make sure you come back!
